I just really need to put my oar into this pond: In my mind, tights and kilts are a horrid anaethma never to be considered let alone tried. If it's too cold for a kilt, don't wear it!
Rev'd Father Bill White: Retired Parish Priest & Elementary Headmaster, lover of God, people (most of them!) dogs, joy, humour & clarity. Legion Padre, theologian, teacher, philosopher, linguist, dreamer, traditionalist, bon-vivant, encourager of hearts & souls & a firm believer in dignity, decency, & duty. A proud Sinclair.

Personally, I think I and cold weather are a horrid anathema never to be considered, but sometimes you do what you have to do...

This recent photo is making the rounds on social media and I find it quite fitting for this discussion.

Master Corporal Iain Cleaton keeps time during the Remembrance Day ceremonies at the Commonwealth Cemetery in Newfoundland (5 Wing, Goose Bay).

I agree with Father Bill, except that I'm not sure I understand "If it's too cold for a kilt," but then my best is a 22 ounce Military!
    Regards, Sav.
