    Smile Tis the Season...

Greetings and salutations rabble! Although having not posted for a while, I have been keeping an eye on you all. As I was editing some folders I came across this old gem. I'm sure some of you will remember this but we have SOOO many new folks I thought it should make another appearance. As written below this was inspired by my good friend and forum owner, Mr. Ashton with some encouragement from Rob Pel. Please enjoy and remember "This is just one, fat, old man's opinion. Your mileage may vary."

    Stevie Baby
to the tune of “Santa Baby”
    with apologies to Eartha Kitt

Stevie baby, slip a hand sewn under the tree,
    For me.
    Been an awful good boy,
Stevie baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Stevie baby, a regimental sgian dhu
    and sheath too,
I'll wait up for you dear,
Stevie baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Think of all the fun I've missed,
Think of all the girls that I haven't kissed
Next year I could be just as good,
If you'll check off my Christmas list.

Stevie baby, I want a PC,
    One sized just for me,
    Been an angel all year,
Stevie baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Stevie baby, there's one thing I really do need,
    The deed
    To a woolen mill,
Stevie honey, so hurry down the chimney tonight.

Stevie cutie, and fill my sporran with whisky and hose,
    A Tudor rose,
    And garter ties,
Stevie cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight.

Come and trim my Christmas tree,
    With a balmoral and glengarry,
I really do believe in you,
Let's see if you believe in me.

Stevie baby, forgot to mention one little thing,
    Some bling,
    For on my kilt apron,
Stevie baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight,
    Hurry down the chimney tonight
    Hurry, tonight.

Now Mikey, I have to ask, when was the last time you stroked your beaver (it's a personal thing, I know, but beaver with us, he'll have a 'weighty' comeback -- I hope).

Thank you my friends, I've missed you too. Rex, the old beaver sees a lot of daylight especially in this dress-up season. It always gets compliments. I'm doing well in semi-retirement, not so well off that I can travel the world but a trip to Gibsons once in a while. Come spring there may be a trip to the island but for now, I stay close to home and the gas fireplace. It has been good to see the forum grow and thrive and I still enjoy visiting. I'm just saving posting for things worthwhile. Take care all and best of the season.
