    tan suede boots?

I know this is a side track but there seems a lot of leather ( and hopefully suede )experience here.
I want to know how to keep my 5.11 A.T.A.C., coyote tan suede boots from looking shabby in short order without destroying the breathability or darkening the color.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

I've used a couple of commercial sprays for my suede boots. None better over the others. Use a suede brush to clear away scuffs and such and raise the nap before spraying.

For the OP: Simple curiosity - What is it about the sporran that you need the leather softened?

Just don't put anything oily or greasy on the backside of your sporran where it can ruin your kilt.
