Such sad news about Greg. He has been such a wonderful and gracious host. I'm sure your friendship with him, Jim, makes the news more difficult to bear. I wish there were something we could do for him. It is always such a shame to see the suffering of a good person. I too would like to keep it at the Tavern if possible, and the 26th is best for us. I will be happy to read a poem or otherwise contribute as needed. As before.... I may not know what I'm doing but I'll take a stab at it.

@thescot @tripleblessed, any news on the status of our host, or further Burns Supper plans?

Right now I know that a close friend may be having his 60th birthday celebration that week (his birthday is the 30th), and I certainly want to be there for him for such a milestone. I'm just going to have to wait to hear what is happening when before I can decide whether or not I am able to attend. I'm hoping to be able to do both, as I always enjoy the company and the haggis and the cock-a-leekie soup!

I wasn't logged in, so I was wondering why post if you aren't saying anything. Duh, picture. Looks fine, as always.
And, as always, thanks. Between Creag and Wil, can we get printed? Maybe by that date we can insert presenters.
Or not. Haven't heard but one volunteer to participate in presenting. If needed, I can again do the Address and a
song. Though perhaps a fresh vict... er, approach/person will appear. Jim said he plans to make it, so maybe he
will do memory. I sent an e-mail to Gil, who did a great job on Memory last year, to see if he will be in the country
or in India, but no response yet. Nothing from Heather. We need to consult prior years' threads to tag attendees
from those suppers to remind them of this year.

Have not seen or heard from Jim about Greg or Tavern. Will attempt to call him tonight after bluegrass jam.

If no other lassies volunteer as tribute, I will attempt to butcher the response again this year 😂

I'll print the programs out. And I'll add names, if we have them.

I will volunteer to read a poem after the ladies' response. Wouldn't it be cool to have a lass do the address to the haggis? I'll bet @tripleblessed could do an awesome toast to the lassies. I'm urging a few guests outside of our usual circle to come - folks in trews, but I think they'd be good company.

I have nailed down my friend on his birthday plans, and I am free to attend the Burns supper! I'm looking forward to it!

Celtic Tavern is a go for Saturday night, Jan. 26. All is well.

We will need an approximate head count by next week, especially since they have done some remodeling and rearranging since the last visit.

They are glad to have us--of course--and the haggis is the best!
    Sing out with reservations.
