    78th Fraser Highlanders tartan

I’ve recently come across someone with a rather large bolt of Fraser 78th Highlanders (Modern colours) tartan, it’s 16oz double width, probably about 20 metres. I told him if I could find enough people interested I’d help him sell it. So I thought this would be a good place to start, let me know if you’re interested

As there appears to be some confusion about Tartans with this name could you please post a photo.

I’ll get a picture of the actual fabric when I get the chance but here’s an example

I suspect that interest will depend greatly on price per yard/metre.

He would like to sell the whole piece so if I get 3 or 4 people interested I would offer $30 US per yard

Is the fabric you have, by any chance, this?

If so, I know that one of the Garrisons up here will buy the entire bolt.

No it’s much deeper richer colours, I will get an actual photo of it but probably not until Monday

Just to be clear, whilst this is sold today as 78th Fraser's tartan, the evidence is that it is not the tartan wore by the regiment in the mid-18th century - 78th Regt - Fraser's Highlanders

Yes, I would say that is correct, this tartan definitely has much brighter colours
