from the Scottish Borders.
I was born and raised in Paisley.
Had school pals from Renfrew. After I left school and went to Glasgow University my closest school friend got a draughtsman apprenticeship in one of the ship yards on the north bank of the Clyde. Most days I crossed the river to the uni by the Central Station rail bridge but on a Thursday afternoon I would take a bus along the north bank from the University to Yoker to meet my old school pal and we would have a sail home on the Yoker to Renfrew ferry together. I travelled on the last pasenger train to Renfrew. I lived in Renfrew for a spell in 1980. Nothing against the good folks of Renfrew but I didn't like the stink of jet fuel as we were downwind of Glasgow Airport so I soon moved back to Paisely, where I stayed a further nine years before moving to my present abode.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.
