Well met and welcome. I am sure Mike's veiled warning is for becoming absorbed in all things associated with this group and kilts (not women of the McDonald clan per say). But I haven't met Mike's wife or her family. The humor offered here is free and abundant and we hope you share often in the laughter. Glad to have you with us.

Welcome "cousin" from beautiful (but wet and cool) southern Oregon.
I say "cousin" as there is a story that goes that a contingent of MacDonalds and another of MacQueens were the designated "peacekeepers" at a wedding between two other feuding clans, meant to lessen tensions between them. A wonderful girl that I knew in university (a MacDonald of course), figured that since the wedding went off without much fuss, and not having much else to do, some of the MacDonalds and MacQueens had to hook up with the inevitable outcome. Thus making us distant cousins.

One side of my family emmigrated from Scotland to Rodney, Ontario; I’ve got to get to the area to do some digging into family research.
... and as for the MacDonalds ... that’s my bride’s family ties. She’s actually MacBride and Poe from Ireland, and we’ve not yet confirmed the exact location from Scotland, but we will find it.
