    Tartan Week Festivities

I had been planning to wear my kilt all week this week. But I woke up this morning and it was -4° C outside (25° F). So I decided that trousers were a better option for the day. I'll see what sort of weather the rest of the week brings.

I wore my MacLean on Monday and will probably wear my Scott another day this week. Hopefully it will get a little warmer for you.

Invited a newbie to wear his kilt

My job is too straight-laced for general kilt-wear.

On the other hand, while out to dinner with friends a week ago (I was wearing a kilt), one gentleman mentioned that he'd purchased a kilt, but hadn't worn it (at least in public) yet. He suggested that the two of us should find some opportunity to wear our kilts out in public.

Since Saturday is National Tartan Day, I suggested that we go to the local Scottish pub in our kilts for the occasion. He's agreeable ... tentatively. I think I'll be inducting him into the ranks of the publicly kilt-wearing individuals.
Trying to look good on a budget.

Overlooking the Salish Sea the temp is 14 degrees at the moment (8:12 pm on the 23nd April). Some of us 'North of the 49th' live in our gardens.
