I'm looking at picking up an Atlanta Pub Kilt in black which has the box pleats with the tartan inside. My kiltman kilt is looking a little frayed around the edges and is no longer black as it now well on its way towards gray. So I'm looking for a good, sturdy utility style but want tartan in there. I know the acrylic can pill but being inside the denim pleats I'd assume this is less noticeable or occurs less. I'm leaning towards Atlanta as they do have an option for the Muir tartan which is the family tartan I wear. But if anyone has worn one and found its a fall apart item or there's a good alternative that will hold up significantly better I'm very open to suggestions. I haven't seen any of these style kilts in person so no clue on any of them, I do like the look of them when I see them online.
