My new kilt at a wedding celebration

Had a chance to show off my new kilt and accessories last night. My wife completed the shot! County Meath from USA Kilts.
The brides met at an LGBQ dance, and one of their friends lamented that he never has been able to meet a partner at one of the dances. I suggested to him that he get a kilt. The first time I have offered fashion advice to a gay black guy. He and his friends got a kick out of my suggestion!Attachment 36834Click image for larger version.

    Very nice

That's a very attractive tartan. I'd never taken that close of a look at Meath before (my ancestors are from other counties in Ireland).

It's also very sound advice that you provided. When I'm out dancing, gay men express considerable appreciation for the kilt.
Trying to look good on a budget.

Men (of any sexual preference) that appreciate a sense of style will be attracted to a kilt. Once worn, other clothes seem uncomfortable and mundane. You may have sparked an adventure for the gent that asked about your outfit.

Most people get a kick out of seeing someone in a kilt. I usually take the time to look better when I am wearing one as I know folks notice me. I get complements from both genders, and although I don't ask their sexual orientation I know that the appreciation goes across the spectrum. I also think that I bring a little joy to some folks when I wear one as I see the smiles even if there is not a complement given.
    If my suggestion works, great!

I do feel that I am wearing mundane clothes when I have pants on, especially if I am out and about.
