Raise a glass
On this date in 1775 the very young continental congress authorized the formation of what now is known as the U.S. Army. This year marks our 244th year making us the oldest branch in our military. So I invite all my fellow "grunts, dogfaces etc." to raise a glass to toast the men and women who have served or made the ultimate sacrifice while serving that have kept the U.S the home of the brave and the land of the free.
