Arizona Highland Celtic Festival -- Flagstaff, AZ July 20-21

Anyone planning to attend the Arizona Highland Celtic Festival in Flagstaff July 20-21?

    http://www.nachs.info/festival.shtml

My siblings all live there, and my mom is in assisted living nearby in Cottonwood, so I'm combining a family trip with a Saturday at the Festival.

Would love to meet fellow XMarkers if anyone's around.

And bumping one last time, since my flight for Arizona leaves tomorrow.

Perhaps I'll see you at the Wicked Tinkers show Friday night at the Uptown Pubhouse in Flagstaff, or at the games all day Saturday, or at the Wicked Tinkers show at the Green Room on Saturday night.

Or if you happen to be near Cottonwood, perhaps I'll see you when I'm out and about (kilted) with my mom, who lives at Cottonwood Village.

I'll be the one dressed like this, though perhaps without the tweed jacket. And I'll be with sister and my brother, who's even taller than my 6'6" -- he'll be the one in a black utility kilt.

Had a wonderful time with my brother and sister and their friends at the Arizona Highland Celtic Festival. The grounds at Fort Tuthill County Park were spacious and well-appointed, the clan tents and vendors staffed with friendly people, and we even saw a wedding taking place on Sunday morning!

The games themselves included the first-ever lightweight women's division in competition, testimony to the growing popularity of highland athletic events.

And I did have a chance to run into XMarker Grizzbass at the Games. He was performing yeoman service photographing the competitors under the hot sun and avoiding the wicked shards from the three cabers that splintered on the hard ground of the arena.
