It may be the size - if you can shrink that, you may have better luck. I'll keep an eye on this thread and see how you're doing.

One of the biggest I've had clear success with is just under 370kb.

A simple way to compress pictures is if you use Outlook. E-mail the picture to yourself and it gives you a chance to compress it before sending. I've done that a number of times when I'm in a hurry.

If you have the photo saved on your computer, just open it in Paint, look up in the toolbar for "resize". Easy Peasy.

Yes, sizing is one of the factors that can effect a good image upload. While the forum will attempt to re-size a large image the file type may not be compatible with that function.

The image file type may also effect a good upload. bmp, jpg and most image formats are best.

But really, the best method of putting an image into a photo is to store your photos on one of the on-line photo hosting sites. Most give you the URL link that you simply copy and past into your post.

This way the photo is not stored on the limited bandwidth of the forum but simply linked to where it is stored on-line.

I use https://postimg.cc and find it easy to use. Photobucket was, at one time, the premier photo hosting site but they now charge a very high subscription rate so many people are trying to find alternatives.

Just remember that there is a very specific format that a photo must be in to display on the forum

Any URL must begin with the code [IMG]. This is the bracket sign - the capital letters IMG and the the close bracket sign.
Then the URL of where the image is stored. This can be your computer or an on-line photo hosting site.
Then there must be the code [/IMG] at the end - Bracket -slash - IMG - bracket.
