A few photos from the Pleasanton Highland Games

I was very disappointed that I was only able to attend on Saturday with my lovely Star. I spent the vast majority of my time on or around the dance stages (I danced in three different performances). I did get to meet up with a couple of X Markers (including the elusive Alan H. who is doing well). I couldn't tarry at the the games too long as there was a Scottish Country social dance to go to that night! Needless to say I was feeling a bit sore and stiff afterwards, but boy it was worth it! Here are a few photos from my day.

    very nice pictures

especially the foot bath. I spent 9 hours sunday walking on a soccer field taking pictures of a strongman competition. My feet needed that relief.

    Jock,

Alan has retired from being a highland athlete, but is still involved with the Highland Athletics.
My friend is a very talented person (musician, sailor, athlete, teacher, kilt maker, and computer technician, etc) but right now he is exploring not just performing music, but actual composition (focusing on Jazz right now). If I can find something (with Alan's blessing) to share here on XMTS I shall do so.

    Cheers to you

    (my old and crusty friend)
