    Scotia Metalwork

Does any know if Mike McRae of Scotia Metalwork is still taking orders? i emailed him last week and have had no response. Of course he may be busy but i thought i'd ask the Rabble before sending another email.

    Thanks much

    Jacques

I corresponded with him recently, and yes, he’s still taking orders. Give him another day or two then send him another email if he doesn’t respond.

    Cheers,

I talked to Mr. McRae over Labor Day weekend at the Virginia Scottish Games and he was very much in business, with a rackful of 18th c.-style dirks and sgian dhus of various patterns. I have two of Mike's dirks and a sgian. If you decide to do business with him, I'm confident that you won't be disappointed with his products.

He's listed for Stone Mountain, and his site has a link to this year's games, so, Good Lord willin' and the Creek don't rise, I'll see him Saturday
of next week. No message from ancestors about a rising , so it may well be a done deal. He hates to see me coming; after I stand there
talking and drooling for 45 minutes, he has to clean all his wares to prevent rust.

Serious craft, excellent work. And when he speaks of his teachers, he comments about how much he needs to learn; he's still strongly intent
on better and better. I think you'll be happy with anything you get from him. I know I would.

Stone Mountain being one of the larger games on the continent, he may just be too busy in the forge preparing product to get to the backlog
    of e-mail.
