A life long struggle - finding flat caps in XXL sizes

I love a good flat cap (wool, cotton or otherwise) but I've found a grand total of 2 in the past 20 years which both fit good and looked good on me. I require at least a 7 3/4 size hat. Surely I'm not the only one here with this problem?

    Perfect timing

Perfect timing on this thread. Thanks for the links Bruce. I was just looking for a nice tweed flat cap. My linen one is great for ... well ... most months in Houston. But I was looking for one with some wool content with the impending onset of the non-summer seasons.

(For those of you who are unfamiliar with Houston, the non-summer seasons are January and February.)
Trying to look good on a budget.

Same here. I take a 7 1/2 to 7 3/4, and finding headwear of any sort is always a struggle.

    Try Hoggs of Fife

I've had very good luck with finding great flat caps (including my personal favorites; in moleskin) at Hoggs of Fife.

    www.fifecountry.co.uk/hoggs-of-fife-b31

They also do some smashing Fall and Pre-Christmas sales which helps to offset the cost of shipping.

    Good hat hunting!

I don't have quite as much problem as I wear size 61 or 7 5/8.

Yes I see dozens, hundreds, of small hats for every one my size I find!

But nice vintage ones do show up on Ebay from time to time.

Now let's talk size 14UK Ghillies...

I wear a 7 1/2 Tilley and the medium Hanna Hat fits me well. It doesn't blow off but not so tight to be uncomfortable. A large would likely do you.
