Thanksgiving attire, long time no post

Hi all. I haven't visited X-Marks in a (very, very) long time. However, I thought I'd pop in to wish all my fellow Americans a happy Thanksgiving and everyone else here cheerio. I also wanted to post a pic of my TG dinner attire. The kilt is a Locharron Strome 16 oz. tank in Maple Leaf tartan. This is my only kilt that's not a clan Rose tartan. I think the colors are perfect for Thanksgiving.

Well done! Tell me about that jacket, if you don't mind. The photo on my phone is a bit fuzzy, but it appears to have a flap pocket on the breast. Those are not often seen these days.

I don't really know much about the jacket. I was very lucky to find it on Ebay for some ridiculously low price. The tag says Paul Gordon Ontario, Canada. It does have pocket flaps as well as a half-belt style back. It also has a bi-swing back which leads me to believe it may have originally been a shooting or riding jacket that was converted to be worn with a kilt.

It's so perfectly tailored that I'm not even sure if it was made from the get-go as a kilt jacket or if it was a cut down full length sport coat. I only suspect the latter only because the satin lining is hemmed closer to the bottom of the jacket in the places where a full length jacket would be cut away on a kilt jacket. In any case, I really like the countryside style it has.

Welcome home, JRB, and that's a lovely jacket.

It looks like a converted Norfolk-style. Can you provide us with better pics front and back? I've an old Norfolk and this may inspire me to make a change, since I have not worn it in years. The Norfolk is not Highland, of course, but there is a reasonably nice compatibility.
