    Help Identifying This Tartan

    Greetings All
James Stewart Smith from Montreal Canada.
My Father's family roots come from Lesmahagow and Motherwell. I'm hoping for some help in identifying this tartan. I originally thought that it was a Stewart derivative. I've tried Houseoftartans Identify by Colour without success. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Greeting and welcome to the forum. Do you try and post a picture? Nothing is showing.

I guess I did do it right.
My original post has a paperclip beside it, and the image is there. Not sure how to have it internal to the Post. Will review FAQs

Note that this has a different warp and weft in which the black on which the white lies is broad in one direction and narrow in the other. A tartan type pattern but not a traditional tartan and certainly not a Stewart one.
