Strange Dirk & Other Knife You Tube Video

Okay I found this video on You Tube have watched it three times now. I find it kind of strange but kind of interesting at the same time. I was keen to hear what you guys think of think of it.

So at first it looks like footage taken by some tourist in a shop in the Royal mile . But the second part of the video is footage of the dirk be constructed and plans. Note the video is tagged at Edinburgh castle which seems a tad off.

    https://youtu.be/bhlOxFmqQ98

Channel is called "дмитрий кузнецов" and is the only video that has been uploaded. So I say nice work on both the knifes and the sporran.

I am not sure about small knife seems too big for a sgian-dubh and has a belt sheath with a frog. Perhaps it is meant to be a sgian-dearg not a sgian-dubh? Some kind of clan crest on the dirk,Fraser maybe?

Video is very short on any kind of info and more of a personal record than anything else. I am guessing a Greek knifemaker made this for a local Scot? He shows some good crafting skills but rather poor film making skills.

Yes more likely to be Russian than Greek both alphabets are similar to me. Profile photo shows a man at a table with a haggis and a bottle of Glenfiddich.

I done a bit of knife making myself and is a lot of skill and time to pull this off to this level. Just seems like a lack of info on this guy and curious what the story is.

Okay I have tracked this guy down with the same name. He is a silversmith in Russia, the dirk and sporran must of been a one off thing?

Okay, not really the one in the by "Dmitry Kuznetsov" has decorative metal/silver work on the handle and sheath .Cold steel dirk is much more plain design. The custom knife has file work on the blade.I would say the are very different.
