Hello from Sweden!
Hello folks!
I live in Sweden nowadays, but I was born and raised in England - my father was Scottish (as is our family line as far back as I can track it) and mother's family is a mix of English/Scottish. I used to spend my summers in the highlands of Scotland (Elgin) with my grandparents and my cousins - and was brought up to think of myself as more Scottish than English - although my cousins who were raised in Scotland still consider me a sassenach!
I've always embraced my Scottish heritage and genealogy is a hobby of mine - clan/tartan-wise I'm descended from Rosses, Hutchinsons, Scotts, Lindsays and Plenderleiths amongst others.
Not yet a kilt-owner, but this is going to change in the coming year! I've been reading the forum keenly and have been researching kilt outfits and I'm hoping to be able to ask for advice from you good people and play a part in the forum!

Welcome to the "Great Rabble"!
Oh, advice you'll get for sure! Some of the advice may even agree with other advice. Enjoy, and wait until you see a trend in that advice; sometimes it turns the corner after a few comments.

I’ve always loved the Ross tartan, after seeing old photos of John D. Burgess wearing it in his famous outfits.
Good to have you here.

Welcome from Ireland.
I don't recall any other members in Sweden, but you will find people from Norway, Finland and Denmark here and people from all over the world. Even Scotland.
You will love wearing the kilt.

Welcome from a Scotsman living in the English midlands. I've lived in England for over 40 years, but still consider myself totally Scottish.
