4 yard 16 oz Stewart of Bute kilt

A few months back I contacted Figheadair and asked him for 4 yards of 16oz tartan. This is what he sent me:

The tartan is one of a number that prepared for the Vestiarium Scoticum but not included in the published version. As such it can be dated to c1829 but was not widely produced until the mid-20th century. Figheadair had a run done in this large sett and shades for a client and had some left over which is why he could offer it at such a good rate to which I could not refuse.

Spread the word he kindly asked so this is me posting my work and complying with his request:

The brass buckles are a nice touch and one that I have on a couple of my own kilts.

I like everything about it; the pleating, the sett, the tartan,...........the whole 4 yards!
    Well done!
