    Pipers of old

Anyone interested in styles of kilting particularly in military outfitting House of Labhran has an interesting page on pictures of pipers from yesteryear, some famous others not known but you can see the style of kilting and accessories that were used back then. You can see the difference of the Sovereign Piper Willie Ross who piped for good queen Vickie to Donald Cameron and everybody else regimental or otherwise.

Just a note, the photo of a Royal Scots piper is reversed there. You should be able to flip it on your computer.

I love the early very tall Glengarries!
