Than you all for a warm welcome. Where do I want to go in Scotland? Everywhere! Lol

I may have found my first kilt. It's pre owned and not perfect but what I can afford. Has anyone heard of the brand Mercy?

"Mercy" looks to be a fashion brand (the flaming skull on their label is a hint.)

I found a polyester one on eBay, that may even be the one you're looking at: "One buckle is missing thingie that fits into the hole."

This may be a bit of an unorthodox recommendation, but have you considered something like one of these?

Lots of different tartans to choose from, new instead of used, and you may be able to get a better fit.

Dale of cedars, yes, they offered it to me for $19 so I figured better than nothing/can't lose type thing.

Michigankyle, I really can't let that much go with the current state of things just yet and I'd feel more comfortable in a men's under the knee then my tushy hanging out in a mini. Lol because of auto immune diseases, I've put on a little of the weight I lost when I was healthy and riding my own motorcycle a couple years ago so a bit self conscious. I always was a tomboy rebel though. Thank you

Oh, I was actually trying to suggest the women's regular-length kilts. Both options should be in that same section. They're longer than the mini skirts but are tailored more toward being a better fit for women than a men's kilt.

Another possible option for the future: an earasaid:

Or possibly for something longer (and this is considerably more expensive, but maybe another option to look at someday) a kilted skirt:

But, it sounds like you've got a plan to get started. Just be aware that men's kilts are cut very differently than most other men's clothing, so fit's a bit of an oddball thing to try to figure out if you've never worn one.

Thank you! I went for it. It may be a fashion one but it's a start.
