My wife’s mother was a Morrison and her birth certificate says she was born in Logie Coldstone. When we visited in 1978, there was nothing there but a cross road.

well, that comes from poor judgement."

The world gets smaller and smaller Liam, I've housesat a friends labridoodles (and cat, and chickens, and fish) in Logie Coldstone many a time, one memorable occasion the thermometer out the window read something below -20 (below the scale) and with the central heating on full and the wood burning stove blasting you could still see your breath.
These days there's a very active community, the village hall is recently renovated and well maintained, I understand the primary school is doing okay and the garage with a "fix anything" attitude is frankly brilliant.
It gets *#¥¡ cold though!

A warm Scottish welcome from central England.
My initial feelings about the kilt were similar at I suspect a similar age, but that was before i'd worn one, or subsequently had to wear the rest of the school uniform. Compared with the latter the kilt came out top by a mile every time.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
