    Look what has arrived!!

    Hi All

Well the day has finally arrived. I received my tartan from Scotland and I'm super excited about it I have posted a picture to let you all share my excitement. The tartan is AFC (Aberdeen Football Club) Official Tartan, for my husband. I have place a tape measure their to ask the question about sett size, I'm thinking 6", what do you think? I am nervous to start but have waited, un-patiently, for it to arrive so wish me luck

    Susan

Yes, it looks like a 6-inch sett to me.

To get an accurate sett size, be sure that you're measuring parallel to the selvedge, rather than perpendicular to it. The two numbers won't be the same.

Oh - and if the 6" that you show is parallel to the selvedge, that's the relevant number!
