My 4 yard box pleated Culloden kilt

I purchased 4 yards of Culloden 16 oz tartan from Figheadair. This is what I created:

The photo's below were taken by my 7-year old daughter using natural light at sunrise this morning using a Cannon PhotoShot GX1 Mark ii camera. Not photoshopped or edited.

I'm expecting in the mail imminently from 2 X-Markers 4 yards of 16 oz of Davidson Clan Modern by Lochcarron and 4 yards 16 oz of American Bicentennial (provenance unknown)

No particular reason only the availability of 4 yards which are 16 oz, has to be well woven too with an awesome selvedge. I'm always on the hunt, this hobby has turned into a passion. I also wear a kilt daily. The more I have the merrier.

The American Bicentennial tartan will make a nice box-pleat. I used to have one that in that tartan that Matt Newsome made for me.

I really enjoy Matt's work. I have read all his blogs and make my 4 yards according to the booklet he and Barb's wrote. I however don't own any kilts he has made. The 4 yard kilt for me is 'the new black'. I haven't received the Bicentennial tartan yet, it's a long way to travel from the States to Western Australia. Once I make it I'll post so the rabble can comment.
