    christmas tartans

    Hi serial kilters! since christmas is coming up, what tartan do you consider a christmas tartan or a tartan that can be used for christmas? ( tartan with red, green and white) let me know! thx and make sure to include photos

    Nice picture, and not to be disagreeable, but iconic, is a strong word with a very particular meaning.

    When I think Christmas and tartan, I think Walker's shortbread tins; which I believe are Grant tartan. There are also variations of Wallace that are produced as blankets, table cloths etc., not to mention the many forms of MacDonald and Royal Steward as tree ribbon. But all are most fashion tartans.

    IMHO any tartan is Christmas tartan, if you choose it to be.

    I usually wear Wallace muted (by House of Edgar), although MacGregor red and green is also a good choice.
