This guy on Ebay has often put up sporran parts, buckles, etc which always come with tags stating what they are.
They're always described by the seller as being "prototypes" or "factory samples".
However the tags nearly always misidentify the items, suggesting that somebody who knows nothing about militaria is writing the tags himself in an attempt to make the items appear more valuable or more rare.
Misidentified though they be, the items are often interesting.
Now on Ebay he has two sets of sporran tassel cones, one a set of two cones in some gold finish, the other a set of three cones in some silver finish.
Both sets have the Royal Regiment Of Scotland badge, and both are labelled "RAF". Now to the best of my knowledge the Royal Air Force's badge isn't a rampant lion over a St Andrew cross.
Has anyone seen such RRS-badge cones before? All the RRS sporrans I've seen have the old Gordon Highlanders officer's cones.

These bizarre cones he's selling as Black Watch "factory samples". I think it's obvious that they have nothing to do with the Black Watch or any other military unit.
