Trying Times.

I'm still around and pop in most days, but when I'm at work it's set not to automatically log in, so you wouldn't know I was here..

As for Covid, Most of my life has had no change, go to work come home and repeat 5 days a week, I work on my own in a temperature controlled airconditioned lab, so nothing outside makes a difference..

What I've Missed is,
Going to Scotland to visit my parents and sisters,
Sailing / racing has been cancelled most of the time, including regatta week.
The Model railway club has been closed most of the time so my weekly visit has not been happening, same for SWMBOs art and weaving groups..

Also our model railway club exhibition and every other clubs shows have been banned..
However we are booked for next years show at the Jubilee Centre Aylsham Norfolk, 5/6 Oct 2021 10:00 till 16:00..

Kilt wearing, no opportunity to do so, as when I'm at home it's definitely overalls time to work on house garden workshop, boat..

Other social media sites,
Sailing, quiet, except for politics,
Model Railways, very busy, as many are locked in at home working on their layouts.
Norfolk Broads, quiet, as much of the time use of the broads has been banned, except for the pages of why should it be banned!!

Still around.

We ramped up for and went live with a new ERP at work this summer/fall. 12-16 hour days, 7 days a week since July 4th holiday... and we're not out of the woods yet.

Any away time I've made myself take is usually spent on the model RR layout. I can immerse myself in that and work fades into the background... for a couple of hours anyway.

That's a hobby I wish I had room for. I set up a small track every Christmas around the tree. Nothing too large. I do have plans for a tresseled layout, I may get around to next year.

Attached photo is the CNR No 6060, a semistreamlined 4-8-2 called known as once known as Bullet Nosed Betty. Attached is a 52 ft express refrigerator car, 52 ft express box car, 72 Ft Smoothside Passenger Diner, 72 Ft Smoothside Passenger Mid Train Dome and ending with a 72 Ft Smoothside Passenger Tail End Observation car.

Built in 1944, this train was saved from the scrap yard in the 60's and has run (currently under restoration) as the Spirit of Alberta.

For those of you whom are in Scotland, this is Canada's Flying Scotsman.

Thanks, the tablet had it the wrong way around.. I figured someone on a PC would correct it before someone hurt themselves turning their monitor

I attended Okla. City University in the music department and there were a ton of those shoes around because a large contingent of the music department were pageant winners and many were singer/dancers. While I could polka I was just there to sing.
