    from Piedmont, OK!

We lived in Conyers while I was attending UGA and my wife was stationed at Ft. McPherson. Loved the area.

Always good to find new converts in the Atlanta area. As Wareyin noted, we've a bit of history of getting together for potables and conversation. Stalled a bit lately,
but hopefully get opportunities sooner rather than later. We're a bit scattered about; in what area are you?

As to a kilt, hopefully sooner rather than later as well. Guys here have used the XKilt pattern here on the forum, and others have made wool eight yarders. You'll
find folk are very willing share experience. As an option, you might think about a casual from USAKilts (click on ad at top). Sturdy, well-made, quick, inexpensive.
Wear it some, then you'll need to sample the wares from other advertisers as well. USA can probably get one to you quicker than most of us would get our first made.
Or maybe you've already got one done, I'm noticing it's been a couple of weeks since your post.

    Welcome.

Hello! Welcome from the Pacific Northwest...

I am new to kilts also but I really like utility kilts as well. I might even recommend taking a test drive with a Greenhorn by Damn Near Kilt em brand. Findable on Amazon affordably and it will give you a taste of how it wears and works as well as providing a base pattern for building your own...

100% cotton and it can get you started.

I have since ordered my second utility kilt from Angry Bastard Kilts; the Warhorse model...
