new guy goes to Oak glen

My baby boy Cameron went out to oak glen with JoAnn, grizzly and I. He use to complete in the Highland Games but now does strongman (or will when the virus is been defeated). I wore my National Park Kilt.
    Me almost ready to go

On the way there I thought I saw a Bob cat run across the road so turned around and got this shot. (For those doing the Bobcat kilt I guess) You can see the legs of a road killed deer.

We got there and had a fun hike. I didn't do any stones but Cameron did one. Picked it up and in one move lifted above his head and threw it behind his back

Their dining room and store burned completely down several months ago but they have a small shack where you can still get the best tri-tip around. (If you're interested)
Cameron bought one and thoroughly enjoyed it but did share with his best friend

He said he was still hungry (something I've heard most of his life) so we bought him another. He then bought a double crust apple pie, a giant cookie and a pan of apple strudel pastry.

I was singing in a Gilbert and Sullivan opera once which was done in a bar/restaurant in an old western style that had an exact replica of the stage from the Bird Cage Bar in Tombstone Ariz. We had a multi run show and my boys were able to come if they wanted. The restaurant also provide smorgebord with pulled pork and tri-tip during the show. My kids have always loved going to see my shows but after opening night I couldn't keep the boys from coming. Luckily it was comped for the family of performers.

Besides smoking, what are some common dishes for tri-tip?

I've only had it in bar-b-q. My son and daughter in law were out there last week and were told by a person on the trail they had just seen 2 mountain lions which I've never seen in the wild. However I have been told if you hike in Southern California you may not have seen a mountain lion but they have seen you.
