Hello from the province of Quebec

Hi folks! For my fortieth birthday, my wife had a local tailor made me a kilt. Lovely but now that I’m more educated, there are many flaws with it. I also have a Grey Hamilton one that I wore for a friend’s wedding.

Now I’m looking at making my own, from the Plaid du Quebec. Unfortunately, the province actually ever officially recognized it. But I want to make one in that tartan regardless. I already bought «*The Art of Kiltmaking*» book.

I haven’t found Scottish origins in my tree so far, but I love wearing the kilt!

If you're Quebecois, you probably have some Irish in your lineage, somewhere! Close enough ... and if not, no worries!

    Salut!

    Welcome from Michigan!

Good luck with the kilt! Barb's book makes for an excellent read, and she's regularly on the forum if you need help.
