    A few reels for you

Thought you might like to be cheered up with a wee tune from Alison Kate MacCorquodale on electronic pipes and her dad, Calum Iain on 5-row box.. They're from Paiblesgearraidh way over there on North Uist so it's practically in the US! During lockdown they've been doing birthday requests etc. every week for the good folk of the Western Isles. Here's the latest - a few words of Gaelic mixed in.

They go at quite a lick - I've had be told to slow down before I kill off some of the less fit dancers, and I am nowhere near as fast as that.

That was very cheery! I've never heard or seen electric pipes before.

This is fairly normal speed for the Isles and most of the Highlands. They really do like to dance fast.

You might like to know that Alison Kate stood as a candidate for the Western Isles at the last Westminster election. But for the wrong party so she didn't get in.
They have many other clips on Facebook - here are some jigs from last Christmas.
