Hi from North Georgia
Good evening,
My name's Jason, and I'm new to the board. Grew up in the Savannah area, but my family and I live just east of Atlanta now.
I've long wanted to get a kilt, but I've never had the nerve or the money at the same time, I guess, but we're going to the Stone Mountain Highland Games with some good friends of ours this year, and it's the perfect opportunity.
Haven't quite settled on a tartan yet, but I have my eye on the MacDonald (for my McCutcheon ancestors), the Isle of Skye, and the Holyrood.
Been lurking for a while, and already I've learned a ton.

Welcome from a fellow new member, also from Georgia(West), and ALSO grew up in Savannah. Just ordered my first wool kilt (Murray, family tartan), but already scoping out a PV kilt, likely Holyrood, but you certainly you can’t go wrong with IoS or family tartan. Hope to run in to you at Stone Mountain

East of as in Redan? Covington? Augusta? Are you close enough to join us in a kilt night? Friday evening before the games we gather at the Celtic Tavern in Conyers.
Conyers is also the home of Ferguson Britt sporrans.
Photo meetup at the games should we not cross paths before.

Not too far from Conyers at all. We're in Snellville, about 20 minutes from Stone Mountain. I'll look it up and see if we can get down that way. How often do you meet up?
