Welcome!! I have an Isle of Skye coming. I plan to pilot a few colors so will let you know. Off the top, a green jacket would certainly "match". Not too many would be bold enough for a purplish one. a burgundy would also work, as would a rust color. The Lomond blue you suggest would also be a smart choice and likely more versatile in the long run. Brown moss tweed is also an idea.....

Welcome
Maybe take a look at Lovat Green - I think this would work well with both tartans.
A quick google search will throw plenty of images of the Skye tartan paired with a green tweed jacket - e.g. this one from Slanj https://slanjkilts.com/kilt-hire-pro...-of-skye-green
McCalls also have a couple of green tweed jackets on offer - £150 is pretty decent price if you ask me: https://www.mccalls.co.uk/products/jackets-waistcoats
I have recommended this before - and I have one of their Pale Green Checked Crail Jackets

Grey would be safe, but I think the Lomond Blue would go well with both, and be more interesting.

I appreciate all of the replies. Ordered the Lomond Blue jacket and vest today, along with a pair of sale fishtail trews. Having trouble finding the proper braces for the fish tails on vendor sites, unless that is because standard button suspenders will suffice.
