    Intro and a question

    Cheers!

I have been lurking on these forums for a few years, and finally decided to register. I was fortunate to pick up an Isle of Skye kilt on my last visit to Scotland, and hoping to complement it with a nice jacket. I prefer the look of a braemar but cannot decide on a color. Budget wise I should stick to the more traditional offerings such as charcoal or navy, but have seen a few cost conscious made in Scotland options in Lomond Blue. Not sure how that would pair with the Skye tartan. My only other consideration is my next kilt will be a Graham tartan, and a dual use color could sway me that way. Thoughts? A bit long winded, but appreciate any suggestions.

Welcome from a Scotsman living in the English midlands.
There are probably many people who are better authorities than myself on colour co-ordination. Looking at some jackets on sale online, I really do like the Lomond Blue colour.

    Welcome from Michigan, USA!

My two most frequently used kilts are Isle of Skye and Holyrood. I can't say I'm great with coordination - I've mostly found a few combinations that worked and have stuck with them - but those two seem to pair well with an incredibly wide variety of colors.
