Unused vintage 1940s brown leather sporran
I am uncertain of the exact age of this sporran as it is new-old-stock, but the style and construction suggests the 1940s or 50s - similar styles are seen in catalogues of that era. There are no makers' marks, but it is clearly a superior quality product. I believe the hide is hogskin, which has retained the original unused stiffness.
There is raised panel padding to the flap, and a raised bar following the curve of the pouch, with additional blind line tooling. Skilled workmanship and careful manufacture is obvious.
THIS HAS NOW SOLD
This is a rare item, so I feel £165.00 ($230.00 US) plus shipping is about right.
