    DFW Newbie

Just saying "Hello" here. Live in DFW, love kilts and have always wanted to wear one. Think I may have a chance on a cruise next year but am gonna need a ton of advice. Think I have Welsh roots but trying to run that done. Impressed with this group and eager to learn!

Welcome, from Denmark! Really hope, You'll take pride, in wearing the kilt.
It's a new form of freedom that i, for one, wouldn't part wilt again. Kilt on!

Oh and. You'll get a few questions, such as why. What tartan (if any) You're wearing. And the classic, what's under...
Prepare for them. Learn the story, of Your Tartan, again if any. and a couple of quickies, to keep the mystery...

Again, welcome, from another newbie, in being kilted. - I only have two. - Yet... ;)

Welcome! No need to wait 'til next year; jump in now and get comfortable. As is often said here, think in terms of jeans. If you aren't on your knees on the roof nailing shingles,
or changing the oil or clutch under the car, wear a kilt instead of jeans. I host bluegrass jams two or three times a week, almost without exception in a kilt. Grocery store, farmers
market, health food store,...... in a kilt. Warmer in winter than jeans, cooler in summer. I should note that my temperature range in Atlanta is not as extreme as some, but does
cover from 10 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Not the limit of Atlanta weather, just my range of experience in a kilt.

Starting now instead of waiting, you'll be comfortable by the arrival of cruise time, and even more devastatingly dashing at the captain's table or on the dance floor.

Welcome from just south of Waco. You might want to take a drive to Sherman on 9/25-26 for the Sherman Highland Games. Several of us from Texas will be there. You can get advise and see a number of kilts being worn.
