Please help I.D. this tartan
Good afternoon,
I saw this tartan today and I’m hoping someone can identify it for me.
Thanks

Me too, there’s just something about it. It’s different but has familiar colours.

It's a personal tartan by and for Dirk Kriche - Krichel, D. I assume that the wear was therefore him.

Looks a heck of a lot like Kilt Society's Persevere Weathered Brown tartan to me.

The Persevere Weathered Brown and another of their house tartans Persevere Thistle Blue are clearly the same set in different colours.
The Krichel, Dirk tartan does look strikingly similar to the Persevere Weathered Brown - and is dated at least a couple of years after the Persevere Flint Grey was registered. Perhaps comparing the thread counts can shed some more light on how similar these tartans are.

How very interesting. Neither the Persevere Weathered Brown or Persevere Thistle Blue are on the Register. If the former predated the Krichel then it would invalidate the latter's registration. Am on the case.

It needs someone from the Kilt Society to raise the issue with the SRT. I have emailed the KS to advise them of the duplcation. It's up to them now.
