Google maps -13043 X-Way Road, Laurinburg - but I don't know where you'll be staying. I tried calling the site to ask, but only an audio tour of the Heritage Center. No parking or
transport info. The Games site has an e-mail link on contact page that might yield a reply.

I'd like to get to this one sometime. My Hughes (Angus), Morrison (Skye), Gillis (Skye), and Norman (Skye) lines all came to and through this area.

Booze allowed? I see the whiskey tasting on Oct 1st is already sold out.
Clan sponsors and patrons park onsite. General public parks for free at the high school just down the road from the event. Free shuttles run back and forth all day long.

Lots of motels about 20 minutes from the Games, but they may be all booked by now. If you do attend, be sure to stop by the Clan Sinclair tent, and we'll share a wee dram.

Not really. Parking on site of course. We even have to camp elsewhere because there will be so many pipe bands that they gave them the former campground sites. They have always had a beer vendor on site. And there might be a wee dram to be had here and there. (like at Allen's tent) They have a "where to stay" on their website. http://www.carolina-highlandgames.com/

Thanks for the information guys! I will see if I can work this into the budget, and also see if I can get another kilt into my hands before then. It's a longshot though. Too short a notice. But if I do manage it, I will most definitely visit Allen@Sinclair to share a wee dram!

If not this year, then definitely next.
