    New Rig - SRU Tartan

A long time coming - I bough this ex-rental SRU kilt from Slanj ages ago, but it has been at my folks in the UK for ages and what with Covid and all I have only been back there twice in the last 18 months or so (but had the foresight to take an extra bag with me last time).

First outing today at the local farmers' market - the Bramble & Whisky Jam went down a storm again although the weather was a bit on the wet side.

Played around with a different jacket combo - think it works as well

    ...and a new kilt pin.

Looks great @Tomo! I'm really digging the casual rugby shirt look in that tartan.

The blue ones are Lochcarron - I find them a good fit and a fair bit lighter than the much favoured House of Cheviot.

The green ones are a custom knit from Anne Stewart Knitwear - http://www.annestewartknitwear.com/kilt_hose_large.html or https://www.facebook.com/stewartknits - Anne is very easy to work with and for hand knit kilt hose they are a steal. She also ships to the US.

Here are a couple of other pairs Anne has made for me:

    Thanks for the information!

It seems appropriate for a Hamilton to work with a Stewart.

I believe "SRU" = "The Scottish Rugby Union".
