Doesn't sound like traditional Scottish fare, though in the days of my youth the Glasgow University canteen had "curried haggis" on the menu!

No, I suppose curry is much more traditionally English, but I did have a lovely curry in Edinburg back in April.

But the best ‘Haggis Fusion’ we experienced was poutine with haggis at a Canadian restaurant in Edinburg called Down the Hatch.

Foe those not familiar, poutine is a Canadian delicacy, primarily in Quebec, that is traditionally thick cut French-fries (chips) with cheese curds and smothered in gravy. Adding haggis elevated it to new heights. Probably took a few years off my life eating it, but totally worth it.

...AND pronounced "poo-ten" not "poo-teen" unless you're from the rest of the world outside Quebec.

    Happy B-day!

Lovely kilt! There's nothing quite as elegant as a tweed kilt.

    And lovely hose with it.

About turning 51, that's nothing, young man! I've got a dozen years on you.

    1. Thank you.
    2. You may be a touch older, but you are a piper. That gives you vitality points far beyond what I can muster.
