I bought a pair of pink hose some time ago. Found they go with many tartans you'd not expect. Can't find photos of them being worn - though I have worn them. Did find pics with some tartans.
This with the Arizona tartan.
And this with the Dutch Friendship tartan
And here with the Dress Blue Marine tartan
'tis a much more versatile color kilt hose than one would initially think.

I have worn pink hose quite happily from time to time, I don’t have a pair in the drawer at the moment though. The Duke of Argyll is often seen wearing them with his kilt.

Would retailers not call them something like 'Crushed Raspberry' as being so typically Scottish..?
I have fond memories of breakfasting off the wild fruit, after a night sleeping 'wild' in the heather, and the stain left on the hands is a very similar shade.

Makes sense, I think - almost an alternate take on "ancient red." Actually, I have some "weathered red" flashes from Lochcarron which are basically pink.
Seems that pink goes with nearly everything, much the same way that Lovat Green tends to.
