    Heritage Crafts Association

If you haven’t already heard of the Heritage Crafts Association, they are a UK-based organization that is dedicated to preserving traditional crafts in Britain. This includes kilt-making as well as sporran making. They are doing good work and inside the profile of each craft, they list traditional artisans still working in these old art forms.

Wow that should be a sticky. Thanks for the link!

I had no idea there were that many sporran makers.

I'd only seen sporrans by Janet Eagleton, Margaret Morrison, and W E Scot & Son.

Here are the rest, which unfortunately don't really add to the number of traditional sporran-makers in Scotland.

Oh I had seen Kate McPherson sporrans, she does feather sporrans and animal full-mask sporrans

Jennifer Cantwell...not a fan of the sporran shown.

I've seen McRostie, they have that sewn-on oval, and tend to be minimalist.

Ross Ormerod. Rather unlike traditional sporrans as well.

Lamont Sporrans does traditional-looking Evening sporrans

MacKenzie Leather is more a purse and belt maker, though they do offer minimalist sporrans

Herd Of Sporrans appears to do only non-traditional style sporrans, and many other sorts of leather items.
