    Need Belt Suggestions

Hello. I've been away a while and need advice. There are no more Scottish stores in the Denver area and I need a new black belt. I'm heading out to Va. in a few weeks to do a wedding and my old black belt was worn and too big. Ordering online doesn't give me the ability to touch and I don't want a cheap stiff belt. I'm looking for a nice black kilt belt for my formal (Prince Charlie) kit. I also need it to be shipped from the U.S. or Canada so I'm sure it will arrive soon.

If you have any suggestions for a good shop with great product, please post up.

We're talking about a 'dirk belt' to go over the kilt, not a sporran strap, I'm assuming.

Burnett & Struth is an advertiser here and has good quality items in Canada, and I'm sure that Rocky at USA Kilts could take care of you quick and easy. Check out Highland Leather works at the bottom of this page as well - Don is a wonderful fellow and tries hard to please everyone with price and speed as well as quality.

You are correct sir, standard "wide" belt. I will give your suggestions a good look. Thank you.

I haven't bought a kilt belt from them yet, but every leather good I've received from USA Kilts has been top notch. I bought a sporran strap from them and it is at least twice as thick as one I purchased from Kilt Society in Scotland. If memory serves, they have plain, pebbled, and embossed belts in black, and should be very good quality.

I ordered a belt and a new buckle from USA Kilts today. I'm looking forward to the arrival.
