    Bonnet for costume offered.

As part of the designing of a commission for a blue bonnet, I have made an Outlander style cap in pale blue/sky blue wool - and when preparing the yarn cut it and tied knots so that the finished item looks to be well worn and slightly damaged, faded from long exposure to the weather, like old denim.

It is made from three lengths of the yarn held together and only one was cut at any time, so it is not going to come apart or go into a hole - I used to sail a small yacht, my knots do not fail.

The cap was made in crochet, and is now drying after a wash to full/lightly felt the yarn. Hand washing is advised so as to maintain the look and size.

As a successful experiment, it is now surplus to requirements and is available for £10 plus postage if anyone feels that it would be a useful addition to their outfit.
The brim will probably measure about 23 inches when dry, but can be altered to any size.

I'll take photos to add to this thread, and weigh it once dry.

    Regards

The colour is closest to the photo of me wearing it - though why they are sideways or upside down I do not know.
