    Some of his "legal" analysis and terminology is a bit off-kilter - but hey ho.

    Looking at other resources on this the main crux of this is about the use of Caledonian rather than the name Macalony - which makes sense in the context of protected designations of origin and geographical indications - which BTW are remain in force post Brexit - but new ones need separate registrations in the UK and EU.

    For my money, the use of Caledonia is a bit of a try on by Macalony and clearly intended to invoke a sense of "Scottishness". I'd certainly be advising them that the best course of action would be drop this - esp. if they have an eye on export sales. That said, I do like ralfy's suggestion of some tongue in cheek reference to the SAWs actions - we did something similar when a client of mine was on the receiving end of a threats action from Café de Paris...
