    Hello

I am a kilt wearer who has been advised for medical reasons to wear the kilt all the time. When I can find my old photos from 2010 I will post some when I worked in a hotel where the airline staff from Iceland stayed during the volcanic ash cloud gounded all air traffic. I have photos of me with admin staff fron Iceland while I was wearing a McKenzie tartan kilt. Since then I only occaionaly wore a kilt now I am building a collection for everyday wear. I only wear a sorran when in dress mode and carry a shoulder bag at all other times (No sporran). I would encourage anyone to wear a kilt as it is a great ice breaker and brings a smile to all faces.

Welcome from Argyll. I suppose that I also wear the kilt for medical reasons. I have a nerve injury beside my knee and keep my knees bare to avoid pain. I wear the kilt or shorts but never long trousers. You are right that the kilt can be an ice breaker, it starts many conversations and as you say it makes others happy, not just the wearer.
