    My tartan has been registered!

So chuffed! My tartan after careful consideration and design has gone through, certificate arrived today, and will soon be woven into a kilt with full accoutrement to go with

    Had to share, very happy!

Congratulations! I am certain this took a lot of though, hard work and frustration. Your perseverance got it done in the end. Enjoy your special tartan! Looks lovely!

Yes, indeed you should be chuffed! You've created a family heirloom. Well done! We look forward to future pics.

How did you decide on the design? I'm currently working on a tartan myself.

So the Red and White for the flag of St George (flag of England)
Yellow, Red, Black for the the Bundesflag (flag of Germany)

And as a chunk of my family were farmers, and my married family are farmers, the browns are for the earthy tones of tilled soil

It went through quite a process of refinement to be fair and is nothing like what I started with!

    CONGRATS !!!

I just got a tartan registered myself and know the feeling you have. Due to a backlog at the STR I just got my official certificate this past week. When you get yours frame it and hang it in a place of honor!

I got it on Monday. I am also moving house, so will be hanging with pride in due course.
