Tattoo Pipes & Drums tartan

I'd like to know about the tartan worn by the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Pipes & Drums.

Their Facebook page calls it the "official Jubilee Tattoo tartan" designed in 2000.

I searched the Register of Tartans individually using the search terms "jubilee", "tattoo", "Edinburgh", and "2000" and didn't see it.



I did see two tartans that I think would have made for a more colourful uniform:

Edinburgh Tattoo 50th designed by Peter MacDonald in 1998. This is used on numerous items of merchandise sold by the Tattoo.



"Edinburgh" said to have been designed by Hugh MacPherson in 1970

Their FB page is wrong - this is the Piper's Trail tartan.

I should have searched under "trail" in retrospect.

Thinking that the tartan appeared to be based on the St Andrews saltire flag I searched using "andrews" and "saltire" and those likewise didn't do the trick.

That "pipers trail" tartan is essentially a two-colour blue & white tartan, and when paired with doublets that are dark blue with white piping, and dark blue Glengarries, and blue bag-covers, makes for a very uniform uniform.
